wow tbh i’m still on cloud 9 from last night.
Hi everyone! back at it with another concert post and this is one i have been waiting for, for so long and I am so excited to have been there. I saw Billie Eilish last night! ahhhhh!! IT WAS SO FUN.
to start off i think my favorite part of her concert vibes are the outfits. everyone is rocking baggy clothes, Jersey, hats, bandanas, cool long socks, cool shoes, just nice people around. I wore an oversized Yankees Jersey (go Yankees) with biker shorts, Nike blazers and Yankees baseball cap 🙂 my sister wore baggy ripped jeans, Yankees Jersey, and Nike blazers as well. I felt so honored to get compliments on it tbh.
we headed there early enough where doors just opened so we were able to get merch pretty quickly. i got her yellow shirt with the tour stops on the back. we walked around a bit and what i love about Billie is she REALLY cares. Each stop has different non-profit charities associated with her show. Like sustainable clothing brands (Reverb), plant-based food donations, Feed + Support by Maggie (her mom), and there were a couple of other really important causes too. She really wants to make a difference and i love her for that, she really is. so we walked around checked out those booths and headed to our seats.
7pm came rolling around (woohoo!) and Nat and Alex Wolf were the openers. Childhood memories because of ‘The Naked Brothers Band’ was an iconic childhood staple show. hehe. so they were amazing. they sang their theme song. They had SUCH good energy on stage not even kidding, Nat even went into the crowd and was singing with everyone. He also had a really sweet song about when his dad was diagnosed with cancer in 2014 but is now doing great! he was actually there. All in all, 10/10 opening act.
After they performed, the suspense of course built up even more. Billie had a center stage which i love and personally think ALL artists should because everyone has an even view of the stage. Seriously i love Billie and whoever made the center stage happen.
we were jamming out to her pre-show playlist and it was almost time. we were pretty close to B-stage which was pretty cool too.
8:30pm came rolling around AND AHHHH LIGHTS OUT!!
SO EXCITING! chills just thinking about the opening song. The visuals and effects were amazing on this tour. The floor was able to have video on it. The cage, everything. Music started playing and BAM there she was on the platform over the cage! “CHIHIRO” started playing and we were PUMPEDDDDDD. Jersey always has the best crowds I’m not even just saying that. Even they said we had great energy hehe. the visuals I’m so thankful to have been in a spot to see everything, it was so amazing.
She then went right into “LUNCH” which of course is an amazing upbeat song as well. She knows how to get us pumped. Her energy and stage presence is like unmatched and i wanna dance up there on stage with her too.
We were also kind of matching, she was wearing a Jersey and a baseball cap too hehe.
She had SOO many songs she covered during this set like it’s overwhelming how amazing that is.
“Therefore I Am” is always a bop. “WILDFLOWER” always gets the crowd emotional. that’s a song where everyone puts their lights on their phones and i love it. It was so well sang as always. i love it.
The next song she does at every tour. She gets the crowd so silent you just hear the faint white noises of lights and equipment u guess there. For, “when the party’s over” she loops her voice in the beginning like she does at home recording so she asks for everyone to be silent so she can do that. i have the chills just thinking about it right now. Everyone knew and cooperated, we successfully got so quiet and it was angelic. Absolute chills just her voice in the arena humming, i want to see it over and over again live but so thankful to have even been there once. She sings so well.
“THE DINER” is like a wild fun tuned song. The lyrics make it wild haha but i love it. The beginning beats make you jam and there is no stopping the feeling of wanting to dance to the beat right from the beginning.
She sang “ilomilo” and “bad guy” which are classics.
THENNN AHHHHHHH “THE GREATEST” is next and that ~i think~ is my favorite from HMHAS. Her high notes *CHEFS KISS A MILLION*. It’s one of those songs that gets you emotional too, like the passion in her voice and lyrics wow just wow. I love like 2.5 minutes in her chorus with the high note. It is such a good song. please listen to it, it is so good. Listen to all of them too.
I am telling you there is no skips on HMHAS.
“Male Fantasy” and “SKINNY” are pretty sad songs. This was the point in the concert she was singing with her childhood friends. they used to sing in their basement and i think that is such a nice memory to go from there to singing to THOUSANDS of people each night.
“TV” was next and that’s one of my favorites too. Again, the passion to what she is signing is everything. Her lyrics “The internet’s gone wild watching movie stars on trial, While they’re overturning Roe v. Wade.” – that is so powerful. Everyone SCREAMED “While they’re overturning Roe v. Wade” because it’s wild this is what we are living through. chills again. Billie and Finneas also are impactful with their voices for voting thankfully. They want what’s best for equality, the environment, women’s rights, and generosity. She even said that for the environment too, oh love woke artists.
“you should see me in a crown” is another one of those fun upbeat songs. It’s just a fun one.
there were so many songs and some in between these so just know that EVERY song is good. like every is amazing to jam with Billie to.
“everything i wanted” is another tear jerker. Like it’s so good. “BLUE” was another great song. If you don’t know or haven’t heard of it, “BLUE” kind of ties together all the songs from the album. With the lyrics. This was the point of the concert she made her way around the stage saying hi to people. She is so cute and sweet with everyone.
“lovely” (with Khalid) has amazing vocals and very catchy, so good live too. ALL of her songs sound like the studio version her voice and everything which shows her true talent.
“idontwannabeyouanymore” is a classic song. so sad. so effective. gets you singing along everytime.
“ocean eyes” was next – that song just does something to me idk. Her voice is everything and she was playing the piano too. and guitar at other points. VERY WELL. she actually did great. “ocean eyes” is a sweet sounding song and her voice is so angelic :’)
OOOHHH NEXT SHE SANG “L’AMOUR DE MA VIE” and that’s one of my favs too. IT’s JUST SOO FUN and catchy to sing along too. and the way she glides around the stage. so happy.
The last few songs i was like so sad they were almost over but THEY ARE SO GOOOD.
“What Was I Made For?” is such a beautiful song inside and out. again i have chills typing this and thinking about her. she held her fans hands and sat at the end of the stage with them. The song is so beautiful paired with her voice. it gets you going everytime for real. Please listen to it if you have not. and hearing this live was the best. exactly like the studio version i love her voice so much. i am so grateful for her and last night.
wait YALLLLLLLLL. Billie was just saying how this is her first tour without her brother Finneas there and before the encore she goes “uh ohhhhh” i thought she was just saying because “Happier Than Ever” was next. AND THEN BOOM FINNEAS COMES OUT!!!! CROWD GOES WILD!! WE LOVE FINNEAS. he is extremely talented as well with AMAZING MUSIC. go check out his new album too. but so happy i was able to see them both live too. wow very very grateful. it was a beautiful surprise. we all loved that feeling and seeing him thankfully live.
NEXT AHHHHHHHHH “Happier Than Ever”. This is one of my all time favorite songs by her. The beat drops are everything. It is so lively and I WAS LIVING THE DREAM. SO HAPPY TO HAVE JAMMED WITH BILLIE AND FINNEAS TO THIS SONG. SERIOUSLY wanna go on stage and rock it back with them. so good.
The last song [:(] was “BIRDS OF A FEATHER”. We all know and love this song. It is so cute but dark at the same time. I love how during the lyrics “we should stick together” and “i love you til the day that we die” she’s looking right at Finneas. I love their sibling bond so so much they care for each other and endless amount and are so support of each other. i love it so much it’s actually hard to put into words. during the last chorus of “BIRDS OF A FEATHER” CONFETTI BLASTS YAYAY. if you know me that’s one of my favorite parts of a concert. it’s just so euphoric. it is so serendipitous. I got a few little man pieces of confetti if you are familiar with her concerts. I really wanted some too to save so i am excited and happy about that. oh man this was a great concert. i love her voice, Finneas, confetti, her lyrics. Everything is amazing with her and i wanna rock out on stage with them. her band was amazing too.
so much work was put into this show and it does not go unnoticed by me or Billie of course too. So many visuals and moving parts. a huge stage and big production. so grateful for the teams that do this for everyone and work so hard and long hours for her and us.
All in all, this was an amazing concert. Billie Eilish is definitely one of my favorite artists of all time and I hope to see her again very soon. I wanna be besties with her haha she is so cool and fun. She is so talented vocally and lyrically. I wanna go to another one so i would love that of course but i am SOOOOO VERYYY grateful and thankful to have been there last night even. I am so happy to have experienced my first Billie concert live and so happy i even was there once. So grateful for a good experience and i really hope to see her again soon!
Thank you so much for reading along. This was a long one but it was equivalent to such a great show. I don’t know who is reading this but i enjoy this once again for my memories. I really wanna be Billie’s hype person and dance with her and her band on stage (and Finneas when he comes out too hehe), again so thankful to have even been there and had a safe and great time there once and hope to again.
Until next time, peace fam! ✌🏻
