5SOS SOUNDCHECK VIP EXPERIENCE  PNC Bank Arts Center 2022

Ashton, Michael, Calum, and Luke at the end of the show 🙂 such rockstars!

Hey all!!! ahhhh I am SOO beyond excited to write about my awesome concert experience at PNC Bank Arts Center where i saw 5 Seconds of Summer! My sister and I plus our two friends all went together and this was an even more special day, we had soundcheck VIP! This concert has been on our radar since we bought the tickets 2 almost 3 years ago. It kept getting pushed back because of Covid but we finally made it 🙂 and boy was it worth the wait ahh!!

we made our way to the venue at about 245pm and when we got there we checked in and got our soundcheck check-in number! wow try saying that 5 times fast sorry guys lmao. After we grabbed our numbers and.. checked-in, we found ourselves in a huge line of all the other VIP soundcheckers. There were about 500 people total. We also got snazzy lanyards i loved it!!

4pm rolls around and it’s time to go into soundcheck!! we were all lined up in number order and were directed to NOT use our cellphones at any time. I actually really enjoyed this idea now because live in the moment is my motto and tattood on my ribs 🙂 good vibes all around.

During our VIP soundcheck experience, the boys answered about 4 or 5 questions and played 2 songs, one in the beginning and one at the end. I can’t even fathom to you how close we were to them on the stage during this soundcheck experience and how much I enjoyed myself in these moments. This is what it’s all about. Can’t even fully describe it to you, you just know y’all right? 🙂

It was such a great experience! It makes you feel more connected and closer with the band. Once soundcheck got done we had some time to kill which is when we grabbed some merch. btw the girl who sold me my tour t-shirt was awesome and recognized my secret lil Harry Styles tattoo that you really only notice as a fan, i absolutely loved that and we bonded hehe.

7pm rolled around and we headed to our seats, they were pretty good! I am happy where we were sitting, this was I believe the 5th time seeing 5 Seconds of Summer at this venue (which wow time flies by) and this was the closest we were ever so far out of the times we saw them live! It was awesome. We were all so excited and thrilled to be here in the moment 🙂

The opened was Pale Waves and I liked them! They were pretty good. They gave me Hey Violet and Paramore vibes.

Pale Waves!

They sang a few songs and the crowd was enjoying it! There were a few hardcore Pale Waves fans that knew all the lyrics pretty much so i was super happy for them! I hadn’t known their songs before this concert.

After Pale Waves performed, it was time to wait for 5SOS!! AHH YAYY!! we were so excited. and talking about how excited we were too. They played some fun previews and music on the screen while we waited. Including the skits they did a little while back that they put on Youtube. Oh, also there was a SpiderMan who was being awesome and entertaining us too! The ~amazing~ SpiderMan if you will.

Fast forward to about 845pm and here we go. LIGHTS OUT!! and stage lights ON!! crowd goes wild INCLUDING ME OF COURSE! ha and the music starts playing! They come onto the stage with these cool beam like lights shining down on them. Felt futuristic and gave amazing concert vibes. They opened up a phenomenal show and the amazing concert began.

“Waste The Night” i love this song sooo much, great vibes! 🙂 such a fav

I was livingggggg through this whole show. I love their punk rock/pop vibes. Our head banging and our arms waving, that’s what it’s all about. (wow that could be a song). Like y’all it was amazing.

I loved ALL of their songs and jammed out to ALL OF THEM. It was such my element I get flustered even trying to type this and talk about it right now too. Like i was so happy. living in the moment was amazing too.

They sang good old throwback song “She Looks So Perfect”. That got the crowd wild. That was towards the end but it was a great time to hear.

“She Looks So Perfect” such a classic bop fun to dance to 🙂

I absolutely lovedddddd jamming out to “Waste The Night”. It’s basically about living in the moment and not wasting any time with the people you love. LIVE IN THE MOMENT amiright fam?! that is one of my favorite songs. i was so happy and truly jamming out to my hardest core abilities.

“Red Desert” is also another one of my favorites and although they didn’t play the WHOLE song I was psyched to even hear a little bit of it. So good y’all, so good.

They said how much they loved Jersey and how connected they feel with us, VERY MUCH RECIPROCATED FRR! they said the energy is always SOO good and they were having such a good show, i agree, i felt that too ahh :’)

Another banger I truly enjoyed was “Disconnected”. A classic old school 5 Seconds of Summer song but always a bop. Another song where you just want to disconnect and live in the moment. it feels so nice jamming out to their songs live, it’s such a different and great feeling that I would love to always experience 🙂 what can i say fam, live in the moment!

“Youngblood” always a banger song 🙂

They closed the night out with Youngblood and it was amazing. I cant believe they sang all the songs already and went through the set list but boy oh boy was it worth the time. Oh my lanta i can’t even. Music is just my passion and going to these concerts fuels my love for them so much, this song and concert and all of it are just everything!

Michael, Calum, Luke, and Ashton, along with the crew and workers and everyone who helped put this amazing night on, put on such a great show. They should all be proud of themselves 🙂 my friends and I enjoyed our time so much. The boys and us of course are excited to come back and play at PNC. i am so pumped to go again one day when they go back on tour!

All and all, this was an unforgettable experience as you can tell. Michael even said that we were ALL making memories which is so true. They will always remember this moment and so will we. Especially because us New Jersians were chanting “PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA” multiple times to Michael so he can sing it lmao they don’t see that too often these days ha! funny

Thank you so much for reading along and experiencing this amazing night with me 🙂 I am so stoked and excited to go to another one!

Until next time, peace fam!
