Hi again friends!
In today’s post I am going to be talking about my VMA’s fun filled and packed weekend. 🙂 So this weekend my sister and I won tickets to see the Jonas Brothers live!!!! special performance in Asbury Park near Stone Pony. Along with this we had the chance to go to the VMAs as pit fans right in front of the stage! ahhh (this will be the next post)
So starting off, Sunday was a busy day. It was my moms birthday along with going to see the JoBros. We did some morning and early afternoon things with her and then later on drove to Asbury. Check-in was at 4pm and we arrived at 3pm with a line already being formed.
When check-in began we were given two wristbands and put in a separate line from the majority so we didn’t know where we were going. They had a lot of different sections for people to go. My sister and I over heard a girl mention we were the crosswalk group which left us a little confused until THE LINE STARTED TO MOVE. This was at about 6pm when things began to start.
Once we move out of the line we were in we are taken to an actual crosswalk in between the stage and the entrance to The Stone Pony- an iconic Jersey Shore location.
We were then placed along the sides where Kevin, Nick, AND JOE were going to be walking passed, this…. was…. mAGICAL!!
They rehearsed a couple of times and the camera panned right passed me! I was so excited ah!
7:30 hit and it was show time! The colorful lights came on and the music to “Sucker” started to play. This was it. THEY WERE RIGHT THERE. The cameraman also took a solo shot of me point to the camera during the lyrics “I’m a Sucker for you” 😂 The mom next to me was like “WELL you’re going to be on TV!!” I was like no way that just happened. They did shoot this twice so I hope it makes it in!
Once the strong beat of the chorus began they started singing towards where my sister and I were standing!!!! Joe (i’ve been a Joe girl since ’07 so if you know me you know this was amazing), he and the camera walked right passed me while singing the song!!! I was on camera… WHILE KEVIN. NICK, AND JOE, were singing right in front of me and smiled. This was truly and u forgettable experience. After they sang passed me they ran on stage and sang the rest of the song along with “Only Human” which is in my top three songs for the album. Then….. FIREWORKS start to go off after Only Human, I told my sister I don’t know how to put into exact words how I was feeling, all I know was that I was so happy and content with life at this moment, I was in my element 🙂
So after the two song performances, they came back to do one last round two shot! They walked passed me AGAIN to get a starting position and Kevin smiled right at me 🙂 and Nick was waving to the fans! (oh yeah they producers and workers called us the cast which made me feel special, always wanted to be part of a cast)
Round two was about to happen… I was pumped ah!!
The second shot was taken and it was just as magical as the first time, with them walking passed and smiling yk 😉
After the second shot and set of fireworks we got to go near the stage to watch the concert! We got to stand on the side where the waves and smiles at us once again. I was in the very first row so like they HAD to see me right? when i say the smiled i’m just gonna go ahead and say it was at me.. okay thanks. They played a few songs and it was amazing seeing them perform for the first time EVER! I have been a fan and have had pictures of me with Camp Rock things since those early days. To see them for the first time in this awesome of a way is a time I will never forget 🙂 I can’t wait until November when i see them on their Happiness Begins Tour as well. Hoping to hug them too
The next day this was aired on the MTV VMA’s in which Katie and I saw ourselves! And you can see Kevin smiling towards me of course 😉
It was so amazing and i’m so happy I got this opportunity
