Daniel Seavey Gave Us a Second Wind (On Tour) !

Hey yalllll. Back at it. This show was really a lot of fun. This show was April 13th, 2025. I’m posting this a tad after haha. If you don’t know Daniel Seavey, he’s one you should listen to. A mix of fun pop vibey songs that get you grooving or smiling so hard. My sister, couple friends, and I went to his NYC show at Irving Plaza! I really like that venue, it’s small and intimate but so pretty too. They also have a pretty snazzy disco ball too lmao. He’s been on vocal rest and a break from tour since this show so he can heal but is continuing his shows very soon woohoo for recovery!

Doors were at 7pm and we got in line at around 5ish. Daniel had 2 openers, Kyle Kelly and Sombr. They both were really good.

Kyle Kelly got on at about 7:30pm. He was fun and had great energy! I didn’t know his music before but now i might bop to some, i really liked the stage presence he had.

Next on at 8:30pm was Sombr. You may have heard a few of his songs before, on TikTok. “back to friends” is probably his most popular song and hearing it live was really great. He seems genuine and wholesome and he has reached these levels at just 19 years old! I liked his music that he sang i will be listening to more:)

9pm rolls around and lights out Daniel comes on!! He is glowing, looking so happy ready to bop around the stage and be awesome. He opens up with, “Waves”. Which is such a good choice. Energy is up and vibes are high. This song is such a good summer song.

Speaking of great summer song, “Sunny Isles” is also one you’ll be listening to on the beach this summer. Just so tropical and vibey feeling.

“Second Wind” is such a good song and what the tour and his album is named after. I really like it and how the merch is like sailing and beachy themed, goes along great with the vibes of this album.

Next was “Gateway Drug”, “Blondes”, and then he slowed it down with “Leave Me Alone” and “I Tried” such nice songs . “Blondes” is currently stuck in my head and i’m not mad about it. “Gateway Drug” is such a catchy song too.

Next was one of my absolute favorite parts of his show. He sings a song on his looper. And if you’re not too sure what a looper is, it’s when he plays in instrument or sings into the mic and has it loop, so essentially useful for a one man band where he creates all of his music and plays all of them “at the same time”, himself. He has a drummer and such, all super talented, but i really enjoy watching him make his own beats and loop them!

When he does this part of the show, he takes requests from the audience. He picked from a sign in the audience, “Iris” by the Goo Goo Dolls. Ahh! such a great choice. He began playing and looped the guitar, drums, CELLO, his backing vocals, and base. He got right into it and sang the song SO GOOD. It sounded just like the song and he does this all just by ears. He knows music so well and it’s as easy as breathing for him. Any instrument and any song by ear, wow such talent. I really enjoyed his cover and i think he really did too, he said he thinks it may be his all time favorite so far. Eek yay!

“Sleeping With The Lights On” is one of my all time favs for him before i even knew the hype it would get. Such good energy and i love yelling these lyrics out loud especially in the atmosphere of HIS own concert. He even said this song almost didn’t make the cut for the album… what imagine!!

“Runaway” was WILD. he ran to the balcony and was hanging off the posts! Such great energy and a head bopper. I love his stage presence and personality lmao. So good.

“The Older You Get” is always a tear jerker lmao. But so good i love it. “Love Me Like You Mean It” and “Can We Pretend That We’re Good?” and “Other People” are so amazing too. Upbeat good vibes to more mellow and so catchy too. I love his music A. LOT. lmao can always listen to his music.

The rest of the show was so great we even got to meet him after and i even made him and his team laugh! LMAO. he was on vocal rest and had to whisper but was so nice and sweet. I posted on my Instagram too if you wanna check it out! i am so grateful and forever a memorable experience. yay
