ahhhhh!! Zayn is so talented and authentic y’all. If you know me you know i was a big 1D girl growing up. I just saw Zayn live in concert for the first time and i couldn’t be more happy about it. He was playing at Hammerstein Ballroom in NYC and what a time that was.
my group got there around when doors were opening and we still got a good spot! the view is hard when it’s GA but i was just happy to be there and get glimpses of him through shoulders (I’m short)
This is his first solo tour and i am so grateful i was able to be there. His chill, mellow vibe made it feel so personal and real. A lot of cool vibes and acoustic songs.
He started off with “My Woman” which has such a catchy chorus to it. He sang a lot of songs from his new album ROOM UNDER THE STAIRS. I personally love this album and think it’s one of his best works, it’s so him and feels personal.
He was kinda shy yet cool and calm and collected with us. It was super sweet. At one point the crowd starts barking which is a thing during HSLOT and he was so confused. But he tried joining in and doing it too it was super cute and wholesome. He also gave us a “vas happenin” which the 1D peeps know what i mean. :’)
Throughout the show he interacted a lot with the crowd. made sure we were all good and hydrated (it’s cute bc we weren’t HAHA) but he cares and that’s all that matters.
From Mind Of Mine, he sand “PILLOWTALK“, “iT’s YoU”, and “BoRdErSz”. Classic songs i loveee them. He sang “PILLOWTALK” in acoustic and “iT’s YoU” is always so special, they all are.
My faves that he sang from Room Under The Stairs were “My Woman”, “Dreamin”, “In The Bag”, and although it was just the track, “Stardust”, one of my favorites of all time from him.
During “Stardust”, he had a tribute for Liam 🥺💛. The screen said:
“Liam Payne 1993-2024 Love You Bro ❤️”
Like sobbing. Such a sad time but a beautiful tribute i got chills.
Zayn also gave us, “Alienated” which is a beautiful song i also love.
We were towards the side in the middle of the bunch. it was a good view when i was able to see him. thankfully i was there and just happy to be there. it was a fun vibe. very chill.
i am SO incredibly happy for Zayn. He seems himself and he was really enjoying performing it seemed like. I am so thankful he is healing and loving doing this live music thing again. i am excited and hopeful for when he comes back around the area again. You got this Zayn, he is so great and humble too. All around a great guy with amazing talent.
All in all, I had a great time. Live music from artists you love is one of the best feelings out there. I was happy to be there and so were my sister and friend we were with. I am so thankful and excited for whenever he returns.
