Benson Boone Backflips For Voting!! Philaland 10/26/24

heyyy everyone i am super excited to be sharing this story rn. I went to Philaland in Philadelphia at the TD Pavilion and it was amazing. This event was sponsored by the 76ers and Rock The Vote. This was a concert in support to get citizens to vote in this upcoming election! i loved the idea of this. Benson Boone being the performer made it so much better too he is one of my sister and I’s all time FAVORITE artists.

since we knew he was performing we wanted to get there early since it was first come first serve instead of assigned tickets.

we got there early enough to get a pit wrist band woop woop! as it came closer to show time i was so excited 🙂

once it became that time, we bolted (or fast paced walked since we weren’t allowed to run LMAO)

and WE GOT BARRICADE!!! straight up barricade my arms got to lean on. what a dream. so thankful.

i am so grateful for my barricade experience. it was like the first time i had barricade fully on it since the start of the show.

before the show started, there were local and known performers prior to Benson. The 76ers had their band play along with their dance team. They rocked (the vote) it!

there were also a couple of DJs and rappers who got us pumped up with their sets before the main show. They were really good! they had a great variety of music since the crowds were all different ages which is awesome we can all come together and enjoy good music while living totally different lives.

there was even a few surprise special guests! one of them was a rapper with another rapper with a popular song. (i know so much info right there lmao i don’t remember their names i’m so sorry but they were sooo good and energetic!)

then out of NOWHERE and i mean absolutely NOWHERE – Leonardo DiCaprio was introduced on the stage??? he told us to vote and he is concerned with the environment issues and human rights, which i love he is supporting woop woop . then an actress who i also am so sorry i forget came out she was super cool and awesome. and then casually Robert Di Niro came on the stage!! they were all explaining how important it is to vote and how they are too. There was a whole squad backstage and i thought that meant Benson was coming on but nope not yet it was THEM ACTORS. so cool.

then… show time came along! Music dims while his awesome band came out on stage then OUT COMES BENSON. started with his “Intro” song and rocked it as per usual. I lost count how many backflips he’s done but he does them so effortlessly throughout the whole show it’s awesome. he performed his first few songs.

He sang “Drunk In My Mind” which might be my fav and he came down and sang to the girl next to me! so cool maybe next time it will be my turn but very happy to have even been right there 🙂 so happy for her too it was her second time of that happening she said, like wow!

during that song he saw my phone and for a couple lyrics pointed and looked directly at me and my camera. so i am so very grateful for that as well.

he sang so many good songs and all of his songs are my favorite. i could sing along word for word to all of them, the energy is UNMATCHED that close. its so worth it. the head bangs that were bung lmao.

also yall his HIGH NOTES THAT NIGHT. whew! so good you could see the effort and breathe he puts into it before every note. he is so powerful and talented and i am so proud of him. “Pretty Slowly” was a banger he hit the high note right in front of my face hehe. thankful.

During “Beautiful Things”. he also came right by my sister and i for the high notes too. he is so kind and thoughtful with interacting with the fans whether it’s a hand hold or a glance but i love when artists make the audience feel special. Reminds me of Liam 🥺 so sweet.

“In The Stars” is always so pure and powerful. it’s such a great time in the concert because he asks the audience to put their phones away and everyone respects that. i actually love that so we can be fully present in the moment and enjoy the meaning and beauty of his song. such a personal and intimate performance i love it so much. such a good time of the show.

this whole performance and show was beautiful.

the show came and went so fast but I was consistently filled with abundant gratitude for where i was and how i was able to fully experience these moments with my mind, eyes, ears, and body.

If you have the chance to see Benson Boone live, please do it. I am already excited for whenever the next time i get to see him is.

My sister and I also got to meet him after the show with a bunch of people waiting outside as well! He is always so sweet and he ~said~ he remembered me from last time so that’s cool if he actually does 🙂 i think it’s my name.

this whole day was spectacular and i am soo thankful it’s hard to even put it fully into words with this experience.
