Still Woozy on ‘Loveseat’ with 1824!

Hi!! back at it again with another press conference. This time with Still Woozy. He just had his sophomore project come out, ‘Loveseat’ and I am always so happy to hear new music. Sven Gamsky, known as Still Woozy, is a Portland-based Interscope Records artist with a fun sounds and personal songs. His newest album featured songs that are personal to him and shows his “passion for life”. We love that. He seems very nice and genuine.

Without further ado let’s get into some of the question some of the outlets at this press conference had.

Sabrina from Crucial Rhythm asked, “How did you come up with the cover art for ‘Loveseat’? We love cover art. It not only can tell a story in itself but shows the creativity of the minds behind a project too. Sven answered and said, “My wife and Ashley (his child) has done all the art. That just comes straight from her brain. She has always just made these. She has always doodled and loved to make things and that’s just what comes naturally to her. I saw that piece of art she did and it really captivated me and I just thought that it would make an amazing album cover.” That is actually beautiful to here awh.

Angel Marie from All of the Above Podcast asked, “For your latest record ‘Loveseat’, what message were you aiming to convey in ‘Loveseat’ and how do you expect it to resonate with your audience?” That is a great question. Sven aka Still Woozy answered and said, “There wasn’t necessarily an overall message I was aiming for. I think I was just trying to make music that felt authentic to me at the time. But I think overall, there’s a message that’s not blatant or anything but it’s just being okay with being vulnerable and sometimes you have to lean into your vulnerability. Can’t keep things bottled up and close yourself off. That’s the underlying “subtext of the subtext” of the music.” That’s so real. Great answer.

Christopher Cruz from Chris’ room had another question. He has been a long time fan so I am so happy he was able to ask a question to him! Chris asked, “With releasing multiple EP’s, singles, and albums, what was the most challenging part of the recording process for this new record?” This was also such a great question to ask him wow. Sven answered and said, “So, the most challenging part was by far the mixing and mastering. “I’m so annoyed honestly” with how particular I am about how I want it to sound. There’s just like 10 revisions for each mix and then each master. That’s a lot of revisions and that’s a lot of listening. I would do it differently. I want to kind of change that because it was not sustainable how crazy I dived into this, this time.” I love how much effort and time he puts into his music. That sounds like a lot of hard work he should be proud but I don’t blame him for wanting to try something different next time. Regardless, it all works out and sounds great! Great job to him.

This was a great press conference. Thank you to Universal Music Group’s 1824 for hosting this conference! It was really nice watching all of these questions and his answers. They were all so thoughtful and he seems like a genuine real guy which is always nice and refreshing. I really enjoy his music and discovering new music and artists I never thought to listen to before. Honestly that’s why I love music so much, it always inspires me. So much awesome music and to hear it live ah that’s another amazing part of life. This was a great conference!

Definitely take a listen to his new album, ‘Loveseat’! His songs are so catchy and vibey. I bet you will be bopping your head with the beat. Thanks for reading along!
