Hey fam! Excited to share this one with y’all. I recently saw Big Time Rush at PNC Bank Arts Center! and it was SO amazing! I truly still have PCD from this show. It won’t go away. This was a childhood dream of mine and hearing these songs I feel so much fulfillment and joy. So thankful to have gone it was a PACKED sold out show of about 17,000 people, so awesome! Let’s get into it.
My friends and I got there pretty early as I have interned with Live Nation Entertainment at PNC Bank Arts Center in 2019 so we got some perks and headed there a bit early. So thankful of what a great experience I had. We got there chilled a bit, bought some merch, and waited until the show began.
The time came close it was about 7pm so we made our way to our seats. Their opening acts were Jax, and MAX, ICONIC both of them. Since Jax is from right here in Jersey (love a fellow Jersey girl), MAX let her perform after him 🙂 so nice and so kind so she could perform in front of a bigger crowd! She was great I love “90’s kids”, “Victoria’s Secret”, and “Cinderella Snapped”, and “Like My Father” was so sweet too. There was also a little girl behind us screaming her lyrics at the top of her lungs, I felt that little girlie, everyone around us was like aww too haha. She had a great performance and I love that her family was there too! So awesome! I would see her in concert alone her voice is great.
MAX was up first and he also did great. I have met him a few years ago when he was performing in my town so that is pretty cool. I absolutely loved the movie Rags growing up as it was one of my all time favorites! The songs I always had playing on repeat on my iPod shuffle! :’) sweet memories. Good times. So when he sang that song it brought back a lot of great nostalgia. “Someday” gets me going like no other! “Lights Down Low” is over course another great classic bop of his.
After the two great iconic opening acts Max and Jax performed, it was almost Big Time Rush Time! We were all so beyond excited. A tad bit of time went on and it was close to performance time! Stage was being set up, instruments were being placed, crowd going wild, we were all READY. this was going to be a good one, we all felt it.
3,2,1, LIGHTS OUT! (even tho it was slightly light out haha) BTR RISES UP ON STAGE. from the little boxes set up. They open up with the banger, “Can’t Get Enough”. Very fitting considering this was the Can’t Get Enough Tour. One of my favorites of their new songs. I love that song and “Waves” and “Forget You Now” AGH I can go on those were absolutely amazing performances from their newest album. I loved that their family was there too. Kendall proposed to his fiance exactly a year ago from that date at MSG and shouted her out in the crowd, so cute :’)
No like seriously I am getting sad thinking about the concert because I want to go back again. But I have to smile and be thankful it happened 🙂 woah deep
I really enjoyed all the songs there is not any I can pinpoint being the absolute best because they all were. But, “City is Ours” will always have my heart and “Til I Forget About You” had me jumping and yelling at the top of my lungs, so good 🙂
“Windows Down” had such good hype energy. I love how they go into the crowd and basically crowd surf out there. They are essentially one with the crowd we are the hype haha.
I also am so happy for the girls who got chosen to be the Worldwide Girls during “Worldwide”. That must have been such a locked in core memory of theirs, hopefully me one day too, that would be cool.
“Boyfriend” was an iconic choice for the encore because it was truly a staple in our childhood. Big Time Rush was one of my all time favorite shows as a kid, and even now tbh. We all knew and love that song of course.
Along with their show, they of course sang “Big Time Rush” as well. TRUE TRUE NOSTALGIA. I loved it and had the chills every minute, SERIOUSLY! 🙂
“Nothing Even Matters” and “Big Night” I also absolutely loved too. I seriously can go on and on about how much I love them and their music because I really do, sometimes I get stressed writing these because I can go on and on LMAO but I guess that is a good thing. 😂😅
They closed the show with such great encore songs and felt like they loved us. They said we were the loudest and I believe it because JERSEY ALWAYS DOES DIFFERENT.
I am so hopeful they will be back like they said and go on tour again. I am so beyond thankful I was able to attend with my sister and friends and am looking forward to more in the future, again so thankful I love music and concerts and everything like that. They had an INCREDIBLE setlist I don’t think I can think of anything better than what they played. It was great. I loved every single song and they sang so many it was long and I LOVED it, they and their band and team did a great job and they should be proud of themselves :’)<3 Thank you so much for reading along with me and hope you enjoyed living through my experience as much as I did, until next time, peace fam! -Andie
“Forget You Now” the song is so good and the beginning melodies like wow. “Any Kind of Guy” is so sweet true happiness at this concert :’) ❤
