TAYLOR SWIFT – THE ERAS TOUR Metlife Stadium 5/28/2023

so happy 🙂

Hey all! So happy to be back, concert season is finally upon us 🙂 As you can tell from the title i was at the TAYLOR SWIFT concert at Metlife Stadium on May 28th, 2023. Everything about her show was magical and amazing. 3 hours of pure bops and bangers had me wanting more and more even when it ended. Taylor KNOWS how to put on a great show 🙂 Her team and crew did a fantastic job as well. That never goes unnoticed.

Let me tell you a little bit about it. There was so much that went on and so many good things to write about her performance I could write a novel! But I will try and keep it shorter than that for y’all haha. My sister, our friend, and I were sitting in section 13 (iconic right?). So thankful for our seats I could not asked for anything better, it was amazing.. like so amazing. Before the concert started, we discovered our section was right next to the celebrity tent which including people like Miles Teller, Bradley Cooper, Paul Rudd, Aaron Rodgers, and Fletcher. and maybe more idek. but like AHH so cool right! They all seemed so nice and genuine saying hi to us who wanted to until security stopped it from happening.

speechless :’)

The opening acts were phenomenal. Owen was performing first and we didn’t get to see him because we were on the merch line. (which my merch ended up getting stolen :/ but it’s fine lmao 😅) But we did hear him from outside and sounded incredible too. He danced alongside Taylor for years so it was cool seeing him come full circle. Good stuff.

The next opener was Phoebe Bridgers. She is soo good and talented! Phoebe is not only an incredibly genuine artist, but she is incredibly talented as well. I recommend her music too, it was great. She came out during the show to sing “Nothing New” with Taylor because it was her last Eras Tour show. :’)

Once the openers performed it was TAYLOR TIME veryyy shortly. Before we knew it, the clock began a countdown just over two minutes and we were pumped. Then… LIGHTS OUT, even though it was still. brought out same effect! haha. Her intro began and again before we knew it, there came Taylor and her dancers! Her opening song was Miss Americana and The Heartbreak Prince. Which is such a bop, it was stuck. in my head for soo long prior to this concert.

All of the eras are classics and I am so happy she grouped them and sang era by era. The intros for each era was magical in itself. It REALLY felt like you were stepping into a new era.. like actually. She started out by first singing songs from her Lover era. So good. Then, she stepped into her Fearless era which…… I LOVEEEEEEE.

Fearless is definitely one of my top favorite era’s. My favorite songs from the album are “Fearless”, “You Belong With Me”, and “Love Story”. All of these songs goo HARD and you know it. You bet your bottom dollar I went hard to those songs as well. SOOO good. I had no voice by the time we were 3/4 into the show haha but so worth it.

such a happy time

After Fearless we calmed it down a bit and went into the Evermore album. I really like the vibes of Evermore it’s very chill and laid back. It’s like a relaxing album but with lyrical masterpieces worked in there too. “Marjorie” is a tear jerker. “Champagne Problems” is a great song for the crowd to sing along to like Taylor even said.

After Evermore we cranked it back up for some borderline head bangers…. REPUTATION. This album is also so good and one of my favorites.. okay they like all are okay lmao. My favorites are “Don’t Blame Me”.. SO GOOD. “…Ready For It?” and “Look What You Made Me Do” are also favorites of mine. Ugh reliving it is just amazing in itself. I hope you all are enjoying it too.

She sang one song from Speak Now but THANKFULLY IT WAS MY FAVORITE SONG YAY. She sang “Enchanted”. I am telling you this song live is magical. From her dress to her voice to the lyrics to the crowd, everything is amazing. This song is always stuck in my head. Even today… for so long. This was an absolutely incredible performance I can’t wait for Speak Now Taylor’s Version to come out soon.

After Speak Now, she went into Red.. ANOTHER TOP FAVORITE.. for real. Every song also goes hard. And you guessed it…. I ALSO went very hard to these songs. She sang “22”, “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”, “I Knew You Were Trouble”, “Nothing New”, and “All Too Well (10 Minute Version”. She played “Nothing New” with Phoebe Bridgers because it was her last show on tour with Taylor. So sweet it was so good :’). Also, “All Too Well (10 Minute Version)” was life changing. As soon as the song ended I turned to my friend and was like “wow that is life changing live” because it was. For my friend, the last time she heard this song live was the original shorter version about 10 years ago during her Red tour so it kind of came full circle there too!

happyyy such a bop 🙂

She then began her songs from Folklore. Folklore has such great lyrics and songs. She had to Folklore cabin up there on stage so that was iconic. She talked about the characters from her songs and the love triangle, which is so so interesting and fun to listen to. Her stage presence was seriously phenomenal. Props to her for doing all that, especially always singing that long. Like I said before, I lost my voice 3/4 of the way in but also again, so worth it. It was a great era. “August”, “The 1”, “Betty”, and “tears ricochet”, which this song sounds monumental and like such a good choir sounding song. idek how to explain it, it’s just something you would hear in a really important scene in a movie or something. Seriously brings you to a different dimension in a great way lmao. I get emotional talking about me love for her music, but so real right? Those are some of my favorites from that album.

After Folklore, she went into 1989. My personal favs are “Style” catchy and you all probably know why if you know me haha. “Wildest Dreams” is also amazing like all the others too. It is just so fun when everyone is dancing and singing along the energy is great during her songs. Everyone is living their best life, it is amazing and once again life changing I love it so much.

She then closed her 3 hour set with songs from Midnights yayy!!! I LOVEEEE this era as well, so good I lovee new songs. I would say my favorites are “Midnight Rain” and “Karma” which she brought out Ice Spice for the third night as well. So good, also a good duo on top of Taylor and Phoebe too.

Her surprise songs were “WELCOME TO NEW YORK” AHHH we all knew it and she knew we knew it and wanted to hear it and loveddd it” She also sang “Clean” which I also LOVEEED to hear live. She sang this song previously but wanted to again because she felt like she could have done better. Listen, she ALWAYS does amazing. but, I respect it and her little rules she says she makes. Especially because I LOVEEEE that song and was so happy to hear it live! :’) She rocks, she really does, I loved our surprise songs, she outdid herself. 👏🏻🙌🏻

It was so sad to see this show end. I am so thankful to have experienced this.

Taylor Swift The Eras Tour is truly like no other. She always puts on amazing performances and I totally could have gone more than three hours and somehow I think she could have to haha! Taylor is really talented and I feel blessed to have been there. I am thankful where we were sitting and all the songs I got to jam out to and hear live with my sis and our friend.

LISTEN TAYLOR’S TEAM PLS.. if you are hiring let me know 😉🙏🏻 Great job to her team and crew. They did a great job as well.

I hope you enjoyed my insight on this tour and I hope you were able to relive some of it with me.

Until next time!

Peace fam! – Andie :)💛
