Hey everyone! Hope you all are having a great week, day, year etc. I am so excited to be sharing another 1824 press conference blog! This one is featuring Sally Sossa. She has a new EP coming out called Forever Sossa, how exciting! Let’s get started.

Sally Sossa is a Houston based rapper and has accomplished many things in her career so far! She has a song with Lil Durk called “Star Song” and has generated over 22 million streams on Spotify. She has been covered and mentioned by Billboard. Sally most recently released her newest song, “Moncler Coat” that is upbeat and relationships and wanting to level up in life. I am excited to share some questions and answers from this press conference with Sally Sossa.

Katrina from Rising Artist Blog was the first outlet to ask a question and they asked Sally, “What inspires you to make music and what continues to be your motivation?” I really like Sally’s vibe already. She seems super chill and a genuine person. She responds by saying her pain is what inspires her to make music. I find that fascinating. But, that also makes a lot of sense for good personal music. “I have grown up going through a lot of hardships, I have grown up just really trying to figure out and understand myself as a person. And I express myself and also feel a certain responsibility when it comes to also expressing my pain but giving my listeners motivation and hope to know that whatever they’re going through, they’re going to be okay and it will get better.” We love an empathetic and relatable queen.

In addition to that questions, Sally Sossa says that right now to keep pushing forward with her career and her album, “I’m just living and also trying to maintain a balance by doing things that make me happy but also making sure that I’m taking care of my responsibilities and I incorporate all of that by being able to put it back into my music because I know that I’m taking care of everything I need to take care of outside of the studio so it gives me that extra push when I’m in the studio. I’m not focused on anything else but recording music now.” I am all about living in the moment. She seems to have a great balance which is great. She seems to love that she does for everyone too and I think that is to awesome.

Bryce from AfterParty had some very good questions as well. One of the questions he asked was, “How has being from Houston impacted your career in any way?” Sally responded by explaining that being from Houston has had a great, a tremendous impact on her music. She has family down south and also the northern vibe. She explains that being from Texas really has grounded her because being in a different style music, such as rap or some of her raw nitty gritty music is either going to make you at the bottom or rise to the occasion. Being from Houston, you really have to work hard for what you want, she worked at Popeyes / McDonald’s for two years even before she was rapping. Sally explains that coming from somewhere where nothing is handed to you, it made her rise to the occasion. Yas it did Sally woo!

She also mentioned how awesome her rap battles were at home growing up! Oh I’m sure! That was fun to hear. She had some really funny stories. I enjoyed hearing everyone who got to talk to her.

All in all Sally Sossa seems like a great a rapper with needed empowerment for others who have also struggled. She is definitely genuine and I think she is the type of vibe I would definitely want to be friends with. All of her answers were so honest and made me appreciate her work even more.

I recommend checking out her work and listening to her new EP once released! Hope you all have a splendid day, peace!
