Hiiiiii everyone! I am coming down from PCD since yesterday’s Conan Gray concert (Wednesday, 3/16/2022). He performed at Radio City Music Hall and I am sooo so thankful that my sister and I were able to get the VIP experience package! 🙂
so lemme tell you the story hehe
Katie and I arrived into the city of couple hours before hand. I drove into the heart of the city for the first time myself! It wasn’t too shabby thankfully.
We killed some time by walking around, went into the NBC Studios and explored. Then 4:30pm quickly came around and we got in line to go into the venue for the VIP! We enter, check in, and get a snazzy tote bag, necklace, and a lanyard. We got in at around 5pm and had an hour until Conan came out for the q&a!
Finally 5pm came about and it was q&a time!! This is where things get GOOOOOODDDD. So there were about 100-150 people in this VIP experience and my sister and I were standing at the front. We submitted questions ahead of time and Conan answered about 10. ANDDDD…. MY QUESTION WAS ANSWERED! Conan answered my question and it was lovely 🙂 He talked right to me and I will never forget it. I will insert a snippet of it here, I love hearing him say my name, it makes me feel soo special, that he was talking like just with me 🙂
This was amazing and just the start of a great night. After the q&a I was in awe. I will insert a group picture he took too after the q&a.
After the amazing q&a, we got some merch of course and headed to find our seats. I absolutely am so thankful we were as close as we were. 2nd ROW! so happy 🙂 very grateful because the venue was HUGEE of course as you probably know what Radio City Music Hall is like.
We sat down, took some pictures, made a new friend that was sitting next to us (yay love meeting new friends), and patiently awaited the opening act.
Oh yeah i forget to mention i gave Conan my resume too that got a good laugh in with his security guard or manager guy. Fingers crossed!
So 8pm rolls around and opening act Bülow comes on! I have only previously heard a couple of her songs before. I never listened to her fully but she was so good! She had some interesting stories but yet an amazing voice. I was so here for it.
After Bülow performed, 9pm was sooo close until Conan came on! Then before we knew it BOOM lights out 🙂 best feeling ever. The opening screen of a krow (ofc) in a cage pops up and sounds of footsteps begin. He opens up with “Wish You We’re Sober” AND THE PARTY HAS STARTED WOOHOO!
He performs so well and shares personal stories with us and it is so meaningful. You can see it on his face and how he acts that he is so happy where he is now and that makes meee happy too :’)
My favorites songs are “People Watching” and “Little League”! and i was soooo happy he performed them. “Little League” is such a feel good song! Please listen to it if you can! 🙂 During “People Watching”, he came out into the crowd and my hand brushed against his jacket as he ran by. THE ENERGY WAS PUMPING. the crowd was going wild!
I just can’t believe how close we were, very thankful. Beyond thankful. Katie and I actually met him previously in the Summer where we got to say hi and get a picture with him too so this was amazing hopefully he remembers us now hahahah
Some other highlights included “Jigsaw”, “Telepath”, “The Story”, “Astronomy” (I got the chills i will insert the video here hehe), “Maniac” (the energy was AMAZING!), and “Affluenza” was sooo good live as well. “The Story” is so meaningful and I love it, it’s so great to see where he is now. HONESTLY all of them made me jump for joy. They are all soooo good live.
He closed the show off with “Heather” and I was sooooooo sad it was ending. It went by sooo quick but now I just am looking forward to his next tour when I am working with him 😉 It will happen okay! I could even be his band member I’ll do anything.
All in all, this was one of the best shows I have been to in a while because of the whole experience and Conan Gray himself. I seriously think we would be great friends.
I really am looking forward to his next album and tour 🙂 hopefully he comes across me and I can work with him or just be his friend either one or both would work great, thank you so much for reading everyone! I appreciate it so much, until next time, peace fam! -Andie 🙂 ✌🏻
