Hi all! DACEY is a Vancouver based band that captures the multicultural vibes of their hometown within their music. After years of being unsure of their life paths, they all made the decision to pursue their dreams and become musicians. They all met at a recording studio in 2018, and ever since then, it has been bops on bops. They all lift each other up and help each other become an even more success band.
Today I am going to be discuss their most recent release, “BITTER” while still being in success with their previous single, “LUV U A LIL BIT”. This a two-part song that portrays the benefits of rather being alone than being in bad company. Which can be relatable to SOO many, including myself of course.
Let’s dive into the song. The song starts off with almost an eerie tone to it. Immediately following, I am a fan of the opening drum beat. It really gets your head bopping and excited to listen to the rest of the song. There are some sort of trumpets sounds before the vocals too, which I thoroughly enjoy.
Speaking of which, the vocals are amazing. Once, the first line is sang, it sounds so eloquent and smooth. More so of a calming tone, but still enriching the powerful lyrics to this song.
You can capture the anger and annoyance of a tough break up. But, also feeling the sadness through the vocals and lyrics.
I don’t want to spoil too much of the song and story, but after listening to this song, it is a true bop. I really love the beat it is very catchy.
Once you think the song is over, it’s not! “BITTER” dives into the second half of the song. This is full of awesome guitar riffs and more great vocals. It is more on the softer side and this is when you can feel more sadness coming through the music.
I really enjoy the song and the way the last few lyrics end the song as well. I definitely recommend a listen to “BITTER” by DACEY as well as their.
