HELLO EVERYONE!!!:) I am very excited right now because I am live typing about Harry Styles. My twin sister and I are going to Harry’s show at MSG tomorrow on Monday, October 4th 2021 and I am going to be writing about! I am so excited because as most of you know Harry and Shawn are my number one favorites for life! I’m soooo excited! :)) Okay see you after the show (or aka the next paragraph for y’all lmao)
OKAYYYYYYY!! it’s the day after my concert at MSG and let me tell you PCD is real. LMAO. To break it down for you, the day was amazing and Harry was even more amazing so let’s get to it.
My twin sister and I went into the city in the early afternoon to claim a spot in line. We were fortunate enough to get pit tickets !!!! So happy we got to reach that goal! I bought these tickets in 2019 before it got rescheduled due to Covid so it has been an exciting anticipated event for quite a while now!
We got to the venue and were about the 700th people in line. That may sound like a lot, but for how big the pit was, it was definitely a great spot to be in!:) We waited for a few hours and then it started pouring so MSG was very well organized and very nice so they took us inside and kept us in the order we were in on line. This meant a lot to us on line because there are some places that are poorly organized and let’s everyone get trampled.
Once they took us inside because of the rain, they handed out water bottles which was so nice of them! Madison Square Garden has probably one of the best organization plans and great people working there. We waited in the Hulu theater for about 20 minutes and then they led us to the pit!:)
We went in a single file line and everyone did a great job with being fair and not running. Katie (my sister) and I secured a great spot on the right side in the middle of the stage. I was so excited. My adrenaline was pumping like no other. We made some friends around us and enjoyed the time we had until the show started! There was about an hour and a half until the show started.

FAST FORWARD to an hour and a half and Jenny Lewis was up! Lights out is best feeling ever. My last concert before Covid was also at MSG and my first touring concert back was at MSG as well, full circle, I loved every minute of it, of course!:)
Jenny Lewis performed and this made me even more excited for Harry’s set because of how up close and personal we were! Jenny Lewis spent a lot of time on stage near where we were! So it was making us all eager for Harry to be making eye contact with me as well;) Jenny Lewis is a singer I never really listened too before, but she had some great songs and a unique sound that I don’t usually hear too often!
After Jenny’s performance this is when things got real. All we had to do now was eagerly WAIT for Harry to come out on stage. This is what I missed most about concerts. The anticipation leading up to the artist coming up on stage is the most amazing kind of overwhelming.
Harry changed up the pre-set playlist from its normal playlist because we were in NYC. Some songs that the crowd as a whole jammed out to included “Empire State of Mind” by Jay-Z, featuring Alicia Keys and “New York, New York” by Frank Sinatra.
Okay, now the REAL crowd roars happen when they roll a tiny box underneath the stage signifying HARRY IS IN THERE. Every show, they bring him in a box to underneath the stage before he is going to perform. so excited at this point, only moments away from pure bliss and happiness for the next couple of hours.
Before the show started, the roar of cheers came about when Harry’s pre-show message came up on the screen. Ensuring everyone’s safety along with an amazing message that makes everyone feel comforted by him. Harry truly appreciates everyone for who they are and does not look at anyone differently. It gets me emotional just thinking about how much i love and appreciate him lmao :’)
After the message, instrumental music starts playing and it’s 3,2,1, LIGHTS OUT!! THE BEST FEELING TO EXPERIENCE after 2 longggg years without this feeling of anticipation from concerts. I’m happy and in my element. This is what i’ve been waiting for:)
He starts off with the banger “Golden”. One of my all time favorite songs by him!:) He rises from below the stage with his guitar and starts performing like the rock star he is. I am happy. I am content.
The experience was uplifted due to the fact that we were very close to the stage. I am so thankful for that and forever will be.
I cannot even express the talent and passion within this artist. Harry Styles truly is a legend.
After “Golden”, he sang “Carolina” in which the floors were moving because we were all jumping! ha! Then talked to us, the audience. He was talking about the show last night since he played at MSG twice in a row and that OUR show will be better;)
Some of my favorites that he performed was “Treat People With Kindness“, because of his energy he was exerting to me, iconic staple. Along with “Sign Of The Times”, because it was filled with emotions and caringness.
I also love (or adore if you will) how before he sang “Adore You”, he once again talks about how he loves each and every one of us. Harry also expresses how everyone should be who they are, no matter what that is. This was a safe space. His concert makes me feel safe and warm and fuzzy inside :’)
I also lovvvvveeeeee that he played “What Makes You Beautiful” too! Because we were true directioners back in the day. He even said, “You know the words to this, I would love for you to sing along”. We did in fact, sing along. Or better yet, scream along to the lyrics as we should lmao.
I cannot believe how fast the concert went. He said “I have one more song to play and then i will disappear and pretend the concert is over and then will come back to play a few songs”. Love his sense of humor. What a guy. But when he mentioned this my sister and I looked at each other like “WHATTT!!” It went by so fast but I had the best time you could ever imagine.
OH HE ALSO PLAYED “TO BE SO LONELY”! If you know, you know.
He closed off the set with “Kiwi”, a true rockstar bop by Harry Styles.
All in all, I had the best time ever. My concert itch had been through the roof and I am so grateful for the opportunity to experience pit ☺️ I hope to one day work for Harry Styles and to help him on tour:) That would be awesome because I am so passionate about how the show goes on and what goes into it.
I am settling down from post concert depression and will recover soon haha. I actually have a Jonas Brothers concert tonight too!! A double whammy two nights in a row, that’s what I love:) Thank you so much for reading and experiencing this great and monumental night with me. I hope you enjoyed as much as me. Can’t wait to meet Harry Styles one day. I can’t wait for his next concert/tour, hopefully I will be working on!:)
Peace fam! -Andie
