Shawn Mendes at Hammerstein Ballroom

Hi guys!

Have not posted in a while mostly because I haven’t been to a recent concert. But…. I have recently watched a Live Stream of Shawn’s private concert at Hammerstein Ballroom in New York City, New York. I reeeaallllyy wanted to go to this concert but ticket prices were insane and through the roof. I then decided to just watch it via livestream on Yahoo, sponsored by Verizon.

Although this was not a formal concert, I really did enjoy watching it myself and jamming along as I would at a typical concert. During his hour set, Shawn played so many great songs I have no yet heard live…. I was excited.

This was really the first time hearing his newer songs from his most recent album Shawn Mendes and it was just amazing, 10/10. He started off with his iconic song “Lost in Japan”. That song is always so fun to listen to. He played about 14 songs which was such a good hour of my day.

A few of my favorites from the set included “Where were you in the Morning?”, “Like to be You” (Some my top favorites from the album), “Particular Taste”, “Nervous”, and of course the new iconic “If I Can’t have you”.

Along with his own amazingly sung and written songs, he did a Coldplay cover that he might sing on tour as well. He sang “Fix You” by Coldplay… and wow…. chills. As much as I love hearing the orginality of his songs, he sings covers soooo well also. I mean that is how he started so it’s kinda like old times. 😌 

I was like losing my breath over how much I was jamming for 9 pm. It was a great way to end the day though becasue the last thing on my mind that day was how much I truly love and enjoy Shawn Mendes. Sometimes being such a loyal fan is hard work. 😂 It’s totally worth it though.

I inserted some embarrassing clips of me jamming along to his set in my bed…. with my SHAWN MENDES 2016 tour shirt on.. and yes my retainer on… oops. Relatable. So yeah enjoy those hahahaha.

“There’s Nothing Holding me Back” and “In my Blood” are also jams that I always think about too. good times 🙂

Also side note, I am hoping to write alot more here now that I have a cool internship in which I am at a few concerts a week at a pretty nice venue!
