Meeting Niall Horan!

Hi friends!

So today I am going to talk about the time I met Niall Horan!!!!! He is in my top five favorites and have seen him a few times so those will be saved for other times too.

Okay so this concert was at Beacon Theatre in New York, New York on October 31, 2017 (yes Halloween). Typically the concerts I go to are in New Jersey or MSG because it’s right next to the train station, but these tickets were special. I won them from a local radio station, 94.3 The Point! When I originally won the tickets, it wasn’t the meet and greets, they were just regular tickets which I was super pumped about already. I won the like the day after my birthday or whatever and I they were basically like an awesome belated birthday present, even the radio said that, it was awesome. BUT, when I won them they were like “Okay so you are entered to win the MEET AND GREETS with him, how would you feel if you won them?” and I legit say “I’d be extremely excited and probably pass out” (I didn’t ofc 😂). They laughed and that was that I didn’t think much about it except when I was like WOW I would love to meet him so bad.

THEN THE DAY I WON THE MEET AND GREETS CAME. I remember I was at the Spirits Halloween store because this was like a week before the concert, so a lot of time had passed. I was checking out at the store when I suddenly got a call from 94.3 The Point! I was checking out so I immediately called back when I was done. I called back and he said that I won them !!!! I was like NO WAY YOU JUST MADE THIS DAY 100 TIMES BETTER BECAUSE IT WAS KIND F A GLUM DAY. He was happy for me, I was happy and very thankful. I could not wait to meet him finally after being a big fan since 2013!

So fast forward a week or so and Meet and Greet / Concert day came!! So exciting and nervous. My sister and I took a train to the city and then a Uber to the Beacon Theatre. This was also our first time traveling to the city by ourselves so yeah lmao it was a cray time. Before we entered the theatre we grabbed lunch at this small cute diner near by. Then we went to the back of the area and met a really nice security guard who was telling us about the artists she has met and how nice some of them were! That was pretty cool. And then…. get this…. we saw Niall in his tour bus!!! Wearing his white tee-shirt and Yankees cap!!! So cool, of course we weren’t like screaming or anything, but we were pretty pumped. We saw some of his team also. We did not meet him at that time, but it was just so cool to see them before the show when it was just my sister and I in the area.

A little of time flew by and it was finally meet and greet time! Before we met him, he played a sound check which was amazing. He is so talented and a nice genuine guy. After soundcheck, we all lined up and waited our turn to meet him. The closer we got, the more nervous Katie and I got but I was so excited and thankful also. IT WAS OUR TURN. Seriously, he is so nice. We introduce each other, gives me a big hug (a couple of times too woo), and chats for a few seconds. Before I left, I was like “Okay Niall, what should I caption this picture on Instagram” he goes “hmmmm” then he thinks of “a thorn between two roses, that’s the best I could think of for 10 seconds!” WOW HE IS SO SWEET. That was actually really nice and smart. Because Katie and I were on both sides of him. It took me a couple of seconds to get it (whoops), then he was like yes hahah, but then I was like YESSS THANK YOU SO MUCH, he thanked me too, gave me a hug, and said it was nice to meet me. Then we headed off in our way before the actual concert. We also saw his security guard Mark Jarvis (which was iconic during One Direction days). So yeah that was amazing we got a VIP laminate and a poster which was super exciting and fun too.

I could not wait for the concert to begin. I was looking forward to my favorite songs, “Seeing Blind” and “On My Own”. Before the actual concert started, we grabbed some Shake Shack down the road and watched so many people in the city go trick or treating, it was fun everyone was out and so nice go around for candy!

Concert Time!!!

As per usual, he is like an average human being, so nice and genuine. I loved every single song he played and loved when he talked to the audience and complimented us. “Seeing Blind” is my all time favorite so I was jamming so hard to that one. We also made friends with these two girls next to us and talked about our meeting him experience! It was so fun. The music, his team and production all did a great job. He even sang a One Direction song! I also loved “Too Much To Ask” and “Slow Hands” and I loved the one part in the beginning of this song because he did a funny hand thing and pose idk how to explain just take my word for it. But is was pretty funny and cute, favorite part of the song, I remember it so clearly, which proves that 😂. But yeah, I never wanted it to end, but we had to catch the train smh.

It was an overall one of the best experiences of my life. Meeting him is very much in my top five life experiences. I cannot wait what else in life makes the list! Such a fun time and he is such a genuine guy which made the whole experience even better. Can’t wait to talk about the other experiences I have had seeing him live and can’t wait to see him again too!
